Program Instructor III - Youth Hip Hop Dance Instructor

Do you have the energy, rhythm, and creativity to get kids moving? The North Kirkland Community Center is looking for a fun and inspiring Hip Hop Instructor to lead dance classes for ages 5-11!

What You'll Do:

Plan and teach upbeat, age-appropriate hip hop classes Create a safe, fun, and inclusive class environment Communicate effectively with both kids and parents Encourage confidence, coordination, and creativity through dance

What You Bring:

Solid knowledge of hip hop and youth dance styles Creative, flexible teaching style Experience working with children ages 5-11 Strong communication and classroom management skills Special Note candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Good communication skills are required. Ability to interact courteously with the public. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated good judgement in problem solving and responding to customer needs. Proficiency in standard computer software. Must have 6 months of related teaching experience. Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification by start date. Must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act. Must be at least 18 years of age. Working Conditions & Physical Activities Work is performed in a community center setting, w i th high levels of noise. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, and stoop to complete tasks. Selection Process Applicants who are invited to participate in the interview process will be notified by phone or email.
