Description:
The Director of Music is responsible for the planning, preparing and playing of the music for weekend Masses, weddings, and funerals. The Director leads and plays and sings with the choir members and musicians.
Requirements:
Play piano and sing for Sunday Masses, all Holy Days and special Masses, including but not excluded to funeral Masses Conducts choir rehearsals Selects music for all pertinent liturgies based on the liturgical year and readings Generates and distributes music for cantors and other musicians Other duties include maintain a music library (already exists can be adjusted), support special liturgies
Minimum Qualifications:
Recent experience in parish music ministry; candidate must meet all employment regulations for employment in the Diocese of Phoenix.
