GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
To organize, coordinate and promote a comprehensive orchestra program that is designed to meet the needs and interests of the school community. To provide effective leadership that will ensure a positive learning environment and will stress the importance of academic achievement. To demonstrate a high degree of ethics, professionalism, human relations and be a positive role model for all students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with orchestra rehearsals and sectional practices. Provide instruction in instrumental technique, music theory, sight-reading, and performance skills. Support students in preparing for concerts, festivals, competitions, and auditions. Offer individualized and small-group coaching to improve musical proficiency. Assist with the selection and preparation of performance repertoire. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback. Promote proper instrument care, maintenance, and performance etiquette. Help supervise students during rehearsals, performances, and travel events as assigned. Encourage student participation, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. Collaborate with the orchestra director, school staff, parents, and community members to support program goals. Assist with organizing music, equipment, uniforms, and performance logistics. Maintain compliance with district policies, procedures, and student safety requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Band Director.
QUALIFICATIONS A. REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Valid Arizona Drivers License Valid Clearance ! Fingerprint Card Preferred three years paid coaching experience in related sport Valid CPR Certificate
