Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a part-time, passionate and dynamic Director of Music to lead and inspire our worship and musical programs within our faith-based organization. Located in Jacksonville's vibrant and diverse Riverside/Avondale neighborhoods, Trinity is a welcoming community preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The Director of Music role involves overseeing all musical activities, guiding the church choir, creating an environment that enhances spiritual experiences with traditional and contemporary music. The ideal candidate will possess familiarity with traditional and contemporary, as well as excellent communication skills to foster teamwork and spiritual growth through music. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the musical direction of our community and nurture both emerging and seasoned musicians. Responsibilities Lead worship music sessions, ensuring seamless musical flow during church services Manage and mentor music teams, including choir members, instrumentalists, and vocalists, fostering a collaborative and inspiring environment Select appropriate music for services, ensuring alignment with liturgical themes and spiritual messages Conduct church choir rehearsals, vocal training sessions Coordinate with religious leaders to integrate music effectively into worship services and religious ceremonies Skills Experience directing choirs, vocalists, and instrumentalists Ability to plan, organize, and lead effective rehearsals Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Positive, servant hearted attitude Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to recruit, encourage, and develop volunteers. Pay:
$20,000.00 - $25,000.00 per year
