Job Description

Director of Music
  • Part Time 935 South Crystal Glen Drive, Lecanto, FL 34461 Part-time Part-time Job Overview Faith Lutheran Church, a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, is seeking an individual to serve the church by developing, coordinating and administering an effective, well-rounded music program while providing leadership to and supervision of volunteers involved in this ministry.
Qualifications Demonstrated ability to serve as organist, pianist and direct various choir groups Demonstrated ability to serve as cantor and to lead congregational singing Demonstrated willingness to be creative and innovative Strong musical talents in choir and ensemble direction The ability, comfort and willingness to teach musical skills and worship concepts to all age groups Attention to detail A collaborative, adaptive and flexible mindset to work well with others and to adjust to changes and unexpected situations Ability to work independently Requirements Bachelor's degree in music or a related field or five (5) years' experience in church sacred music. Active membership in a local Christian church. Background check and drug screen required. Work Hours/Hourly Rate Saturday
  • 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday
  • 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Advent and Lenten Services
  • 4:30 p.
m. to 5:30 p.m. as scheduled throughout the year plus special Easter and Christmas services as scheduled Practice sessions as scheduled for adult choir, musical groups, soloists and special music Special music necessary for funerals, weddings and other special events Hourly rate to be determined
