Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Our congregation is seeking a skilled part time Director of Music to lead and grow our music ministry.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead music for weekly services and special events. Weekly service includes contemporary worship and choir anthem. Direct choir and praise band rehearsals and performances. Collaborate with the Pastor and staff when selecting music. Select music that reflects the spirit of our congregation. Recruit and mentor singers and musicians Plan and direct Christmas and Easter concerts with the choir and additional instrumentalists.
Qualifications:
Musical background Bachelor's degree Experience directing choirs and praise groups (48 months) Knows and uses a variety of sacred music styles Leadership and communication skills
