Job Description The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, a warm and welcoming community, seeks a part-time Organist/Pianist & Director of Music Ministry to lead and grow a vibrant parish music program. Responsibilities Provide organ and piano music for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Eucharist. Lead, rehearse, and accompany a volunteer choir. Support congregational singing and choir anthems. Collaborate with clergy on music selection throughout the liturgical year. Help develop and expand the parish music ministry. Coordinate special music, soloists, and occasional events. Provide music for Holy Week, Christmas, feast days, and parish funerals (additional compensation available for some services). Perform related administrative duties, including arranging substitutes. Qualifications Proficiency in organ and piano. Experience directing choirs and leading congregational singing. Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills. Reliability and regular availability. Familiarity with Episcopal/Anglican worship preferred. Compensation Part-time salary of $18,000 with four paid Sundays off annually. Schedule includes Sunday worship, Sunday choir warm-up, Wednesday evening rehearsal, and major liturgical observances.
