At Kehoe-France Northshore and International Schools Partnerships, we are committed to the well-being and protection of minors. Kehoe-France recognizes its role in safeguarding children as our primary concern. All staff of the school are considered by Louisiana state law as 'mandated reporters' who must report any and all allegations of abuse that are shared with them.
JOB SUMMARY
The job of Extended Care Staff was established for the purpose of supervising and caring for Kehoe-France students registered for before and after care beyond the instructional day.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oriented on, understands, and implements all duties, health and safety, safeguarding, and state regulations for childcare centers Responsible for securing a replacement in the event of illness or absence Timeliness and reliability Respectfully, effectively, and professionally engage with families Implements given schedules Maintains weekly attendance logs for students and self Reports concerns to appropriate maintenance or administrative staff Reports student illness or injury to the Extended Care Director Monitors individual and/or groups of students (e.g. classroom, playground, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students (e.g. accidents, fights, appropriate and/or inappropriate social behaviors, violations of rules, safety conditions, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate administrative personnel and parents Attends meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: lifting, carrying, squatting, pushing, and/or pulling. Generally the job requires sitting, walking, and standing. This position is conditional to the provision of federal criminal background checks covering the countries that you have lived and worked in for the last 10 years and any convictions highlighted will be reviewed against standard Safeguarding principles of working with children. All checks requested to be received prior to commencement of employment.
Pay:
$12.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.5 per week
