Something Rotten' Description:
Triboro Youth Theatre (TYT), a nonprofit youth theatreanization serving Southeastern Massachusetts, is seeking experienced, collaborative teaching artists for our Summer 2026 production of "Something Rotten!" We are hiring for the following stipend positions: Director Choreographer
Music Director Production Timeline Auditions:
Mid-May 2026
Rehearsals:
June-July 2026 (weekday evenings; some flexibility based on role)
Tech Week:
Late July 2026
Performances:
July 31, August 1 & 2, 2026 the Program This production will feature a cast of high school performers in a supportive, process-driven environment that emphasizes both skill development and high-quality performance oues. TYT operates under a "learn by doing" model, pairing professional expectations with age-appropriate instruction and mentorship.
Director:
Lead overall artistic vision and storytelling of the production Run auditions and casting in collaboration with the production team Block scenes and guide character development Foster a positive, inclusive, and focused rehearsal environment Collaborate closely with the choreographer, music director, and design staff
Choreographer:
Design and teach choreography appropriate for a youth ensemble Create movement that supports storytelling and performer growth Adapt choreography to varying skill levels Work in coordination with the director and music director
Music Director:
Teach vocal music, harmonies, and ensemble singing Lead music rehearsals and support soloists Collaborate on casting (vocal placement) Prepare performers for a polished vocal performance Apany rehearsals (preferred) or coordinate rehearsal tracks
Compensation:
 All positions are stipended mensurate with experience and role)
Triboro Youth Theatre:
TYT is a nonprofit youth theatreanization based in Attleboro, MA, serving approximately 200 young performers annually through fully staged productions. We aremitted to accessibility, inclusion, and providing high-quality theatrical experiences regardless of prior experience.
Qualifications:
Prior experience working with youth performers (required) Strong background in musical theatre Ability to balance high expectations with a supportive teaching approach Excellentmunication and collaboration skills Reliability andmitment to the full production schedule Music director must have strong piano skills
