The Drowsy Chaperone Description:
Bentley University's Arts and Performance Organization is seeking a director for our fall production of The Drowsy Chaperone. Production will run from September to November 2026,with shows taking place during the weekend of November 19th. After the contract has cleared with the university a stipend of $2000 will be provided at the end of the production by the University. Housing and transportation will not be provided.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with experience working with college-aged students and students who have limited experience doing theater productions. Directors must be able to choreograph scenes in addition to giving acting notes. Must be willing to work with our Vice President of Production, an elected member of ouranization in charge of all production aspects of the show (e.g. lighting, sound, props, costumes, hair & makeup, etc.). Their job is to help you execute your vision for the show within the means of ouranization. We will also hire a music director to teach actors their music for the show, along with a choreographer to instruct dance numbers. Preferred candidates reside in the greater-Boston area and have a flexible schedule.
