Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)\nMichigan Teaching Certification (preferred)\nExcellent written, verbal and listening communication skills with students, staff, parents, administration and\ncommunity.\nDemonstrate effective leadership qualities.\nGood organizational skills.\nGood disciplinary skills.\nDedication to building a successful program.\nPart and score arranging.\nFunctional piano skills.\nKnowledge of teenager voice/vocal ranges.\nAbility to see potential in cast members and to push them past their potential.\n

JOB DESCRIPTION

\nAssist director with show selection.\nAttend all auditions and assist in cast selection.\nHelp with rehearsal schedule development.\nDirect all music rehearsals, solos, chorus, and band.\nAssist choreographer with music to be choreographed.\nRecord or obtain a prerecorded rehearsal recording to be used by choreographer and drama director for rehearsals.\nLocate and acquire (within budget) musicians for rehearsals and performance.\nAssist director with \"run throughs\", \"dress rehearsals\".\nWarm up cast before performance and give notes after performance.\nAbility to hold students accountable within a given rehearsal schedule\nThis is an EduStaff position.
