PURPOSE OF POSITION
Minnetonka Public Schools has multiple elementary choirs for grades 3, 4, 5 and 6. One grade 3 choir on the East side of elementary buildings and one grade 3 choir on the West side of elementary buildings. The choirs meets at an elementary building to be determined, one day per week.
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Practices:
After school one day a week on Thursdays; times to be determined
REQUIREMENTS
1. Minnesota K-12 music license (vocal/classroom,) preferred. 2. Demonstrated successful experience working with elementary age children in a choral setting. 3. Knowledge of children's voices, and in particular strategies for working with boys and girls of this age in a choral program. 4. Evidence of sufficient piano skills to help singers learn their parts. 5. Demonstrated success in developing a rapport with young students and their parents, including excellent communication and human relations skills. 6. Demonstrated knowledge of vocal pedagogy for the child voice.
