Lead rehearsals on Wednesdays and conduct the choir at Sunday Mass two to four Masses per month. Under the direction of the
Music Director:
Direct adult choir. Enthusiastically promote music ministry and participation in a professional and prayerful manner. Oversee and develop the adult choir. Cultivate music which is a prayer and not a performance. Select and prepare music for all liturgies at which the adult choir sings. Recruit, train, provide direction, encouragement and scheduling for the adult choir. Instruct adult choir on expectations for proper attire and conduct. Qualifications a) Active practicing Roman Catholic b) Experience with Church liturgies c) Familiarity with Church documents such as Sacred Music and General Instruction of the Roman Missal d) Vocal skills adequate to lead the adult choir e) Familiarity with a broad range of church music repertoire. f) Appropriate communication/interpersonal skills that create effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, parishioners, and guests g) Experience working in a volunteer-based, non - profit organization
