Job Description Working collaboratively with the rector and staff team, the Director of Music and Organist provides visionary leadership in liturgical music for worship. This individual serves as the parish's principal choral conductor, artistic strategist, and spiritual leader through music, responsible for playing the organ for services, directing choirs, and developing music education activities for children, youth, and adults. The Director attends to pastoral needs of choristers and their families while teaching and writing about musical, liturgical, and theological issues. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional musical ability and choral conducting expertise, proven capacity to lead and inspire others, deep knowledge of sacred music within the Episcopal/Anglican liturgical tradition, and openness to integrating works from diverse liturgical and cultural origins.
