Mission Community Church (MCC) seeks a passionate and dedicated Worship Leader to join our ministry team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced vocalist and musician who can lead the congregation in offering heartfelt praise to God. This role requires a leader who can develop individuals and teams, fostering a spirit of unity in the body and excellence in musical worship.

Responsibilities:

Plan and lead the musical portion of worship services and occasional/special events. Select and arrange music that aligns with the church's vision and theological framework. Conduct rehearsals with the worship team to ensure a high level of preparedness and excellence. Develop and maintain a rotation schedule for worship team members. Recruit, train, and mentor musicians and vocalists, nurturing their spiritual and musical growth. Collaborate with the pastors and other church leaders to plan and execute engaging and meaningful worship services. Foster a positive and encouraging environment within the worship team. Participate in church events and activities, contributing to the overall life of the congregation. Stay current with trends in worship music and incorporate fresh elements into services as appropriate.

Qualifications:

A committed Christian with a deep love for God and a desire to lead others in worship. Affirmation of MCC's Beliefs (https://https://www.thisismission.church/vision). Alignment with MCC's Vision and Values(https://https://www.thisismission.church/vision). Proven experience leading musical worship in a church or similar setting. Strong vocal abilities. Competence in playing an instrument (guitar, piano, etc.) is expected, and proficiency is preferred. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively. A heart for mentoring and developing others. Proficiency with technology such as worship software and sound equipment is a plus.

Education and Experience:

Previous experience leading worship and working with worship teams.
