Brimming with Christmas songs in both Spanish and English, A Xmas Cuento Remix is a high-energy theatrical experience that blends storytelling, music, and movement to create a world where past, present, and future collide in unexpected ways. Infused with humor, heart, and cultural rhythm, the production celebrates family, community, and kindness through a festive and contemporary reimagining of a holiday classic. Responsibilities Teach and rehearse 11 songs with the cast using provided sheet music. Lead music rehearsals and support actors in learning vocal parts and harmonies. Collaborate with the director and production team throughout the rehearsal process. Attend scheduled rehearsals as needed to support the musical elements of the production. Attend preview performances. Schedule Rehearsals begin October 26, 2026. Preview performances begin December 2, 2026. Opening night is December 4, 2026.
Performance run:
December 2-20, 2026. Approximately 25-30 hours of music direction are anticipated during the rehearsal process. Rehearsals will generally be scheduled during evenings and weekends and arranged in accordance with the Music Director's availability.
Compensation Stipend:
$700 Qualifications Previous music direction experience for theatre, educational theatre, choir, or related performance settings preferred. Ability to teach vocal music to performers with varying levels of musical experience. Spanish-language proficiency preferred but not required.
