Worship Director

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Worship Director to lead and inspire our congregation through impactful worship experiences. In this vital role, you will cultivate an engaging, authentic atmosphere of praise and spiritual connection, guiding the worship team and fostering a vibrant community centered on worshiping together. Your leadership will help create an environment where individuals can encounter God, grow in faith, and experience the transformative power of worship. Responsibilities Develop and oversee the overall worship experience, ensuring it aligns with the church's vision and mission. Lead, recruit, train, and mentor the worship team—including musicians, vocalists, and worship tech staff—to foster excellence and unity. Coordinate rehearsals & Sunday service coverage, communicate set lists via Planning Center. Select/upload songs via Pro-Presenter that resonate with the Senior Pastor & congregation. Collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders to integrate worship seamlessly into sermons and church events. Cultivate a welcoming environment that encourages participation from all ages and backgrounds. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth execution of services and special events. Promote a culture of teaching within the team by sharing spiritual insights and encouraging personal growth in faith. Skills Proven experience in leading worship or musical direction within a church. Effective leadership skills that help motivate and mentor team members of diverse backgrounds. Great communication skills to articulate vision, give constructive feedback, and foster teamwork. Demonstrated teaching ability to instruct team members on musical techniques, worship practices, or spiritual concepts. Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs during services while maintaining a positive attitude. Deep understanding of worship music genres, song selection, and technical aspects of sound or staging is preferred.
