Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Worship Music Leader to inspire and lead our congregation in vibrant praise and worship experiences. This role is essential in cultivating an uplifting spiritual environment through musical excellence, heartfelt leadership, and a deep understanding of liturgical traditions. The Worship Music Leader will coordinate musical elements for services, mentor music teams, and foster a spirit of community and devotion through inspiring musical expression. Responsibilities Lead praise and worship sessions during church services, ensuring a seamless flow of musical worship that aligns with the service's spiritual themes. Manage and coordinate church choir rehearsals, fostering growth in vocal skills and musical unity among choir members. Select appropriate music pieces that enhance the message of each service while respecting liturgical traditions. Oversee the management of musical instruments, including piano and other church-provided equipment, ensuring proper tuning, maintenance, and setup for services. Collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders to plan worship sequences that effectively support sermon themes and spiritual objectives. Manage musical productions for special events such as holidays, baptisms, weddings, or outreach programs, ensuring high-quality performances. Requirements Proven experience in church service musical performance, including conducting praise and worship music and leading church choirs. Knowledge of musical liturgical practices, reading sheet music, vocal music techniques, and managing musical instruments like piano. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clergy, staff, volunteers, and congregation members. Familiarity with managing music teams, selecting appropriate repertoire, and overseeing rehearsals with enthusiasm and leadership. Experience with religious leadership roles within nonprofit faith-based organizations is highly preferred.
