Please email a cover letter and resume to retrogearshopjobs at gmail.com Retro Gear Shop is a hiring for a Director of Photography / Editing to handle the photography of music equipment , editing of photos and uploading to our website along with product and inventory management. Secondary tasks include some occasional video work and limited social media tasks. We are a boutique music store / ecommerce business located in South Nashville neighborhood with a small dedicated team focused on high quality service. This position will be working with the team daily along with regular communication with the company owner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Taking photographs of equipment Editing photos with Adobe Photoshop Uploading finished photos to store's website as new products for sale Data entry Inventory management Daily social media duties with Instagram (minimal, 20 - 30 minutes per day) Receiving incoming shipments Occasional customer outreach/customer service Minimal loading/unloading equipment from trucks
Required Skills/Abilities:
Positive attitude 1-year Required experience with operating DSLR cameras 1-year Required experience with Adobe Photoshop Preferred but not required experience with video editing platforms like Final Cut Pro Required excellent computer skills (hotkeys and Apple Mac platform) Excellent attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills Excellent teamwork skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks Proficient with Google Docs, Excel Sheets Flexibility and adaptability Experience with Ebay/Shopify is a plus but not required Familiarity with recording equipment/musical instruments is a plus but not required
Education and Experience:
Previous experience in photography and photo editing encouraged. We will provide training. Bi-lingual Spanish proficiency speakers a plus.
Pay and hours:
Starting pay during training period is $17/hr with a raise to $20/hr within 6 months depending on results. Hours are based on workload. Flexible work schedule, estimate starting at 20 - 25 hours per week but eventually could be 20 - 40 hours per week. Hours are not guaranteed and can vary depending on company needs.
