Job Description
Southside Baptist Church in Shelbyville, TN, is seeking a part-time Worship Leader and/or Music Director to join our growing congregation. Our music style is blended, and as our worship ministry expands, we seek someone to lead our church in worship and music.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Worship Leader/Music Director will be responsible for the following key duties:- Planning and leading Sunday morning worship services.
- Coordinating and leading any necessary rehearsals for these services.
- Selecting and arranging music that aligns with the church's mission and values.
- Collaborating with the Pastor and other church leaders to create a cohesive worship experience.
- Planning and conducting special music events and services, such as Christmas and Easter celebrations.
- Working under the supervision of the Pastor and the Deacon body.
- Serving as a spiritual leader for the worship team and the congregation.
Qualifications:
Devout Christian and active member of a Baptist church- Prior experience in leading worship and music ministry
- Proficiency in playing a musical instrument is preferred
- Strong vocal and musical skills
- Ability to pass a background check
