Job Description
Worship Leader (Sunday Services) Position Overview Heart + Soul Church is a growing, mobile church averaging around 500 attendees each Sunday. We are seeking a Worship Leader to serve as the consistent, front-facing leader of our worship experience. This individual will lead vocally each week, engage the congregation, and help create a unified and impactful worship environment. They will operate under the leadership and direction of the Music Director, who oversees the vision and structure of the worship department. Our musical style is rooted in modern Christian worship (e.g., Elevation Worship, Maverick City Music, Bethel Music), with a strong emphasis on authenticity, engagement, and excellence. Key Responsibilities Sunday Leadership Lead worship vocally during Sunday services Engage the congregation and create a cohesive worship environment Serve as the consistent front-facing leader each week Lead transitions and flow within the set as needed Vocal Team Leadership Lead and support the vocal team during Sunday run-through and service Help create unity, confidence, and consistency among vocalists Provide guidance on harmonies, parts, and delivery Foster a positive, team-first culture Execution & Alignment Lead from the platform in alignment with the overall vision, direction, and setlists provided by the Music Director Execute the worship experience with consistency, excellence, and awareness of the room Remain flexible and responsive in the moment during live services Maintain clear and healthy communication with the Music Director and team Role Structure & Expectations This is a front-facing leadership role with a primary focus on Sunday execution and vocal leadership. This role operates under the direction of the Music Director The Music Director is responsible for vision, planning, and overall department leadership The Worship Leader is responsible for leading from the platform each week and carrying that vision in the room
