Choir Director 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 1322 Kimball Avenue, Richland, WA 99354 Up to $10,000 a year - Part-time All Saints' Episcopal Church 14 reviews Up to $10,000 a year - Part-time All Saints' is seeking a part-time Choir Director to enhance our music ministry— to inspire and lead others in expressing faith and spiritual connection through music. : The Choir Director, under the guidance of the Rector, shall share responsibility with the Principal Music Director for the liturgical musical activities of All Saints', and help provide for performance and accompaniment music in support of worship. The Choir Director would work with our Principal Music Director in selecting anthems, conducting rehearsals, and directing choirs during services.
Specific responsibilities include:
Coordinating with the Principal Director on anthem selection, and contributing to the selection of hymns and other service music as needed. Rehearsing and directing anthems with the volunteer Chancel Choir during the Program Year (September through early June). Rehearsals include one evening each week (currently Wednesdays) and before Sunday services. Rehearsing and directing anthems with the volunteer Bell Choir for at least two (2) Sunday services each year; additional bell choir offerings at the director's discretion. Helping to recruit Offertory music volunteers to enhance worship during the Choir's summer hiatus. Attending staff and seasonal Worship Team meetings as needed. : Our ideal candidate has a strong musical background, including experience with a variety of choral music styles and an ability to work with different age groups. Basic proficiency at keyboard preferred. Competence in leadership and teaching, and strong communication and interpersonal skills, also desired. The Choir Director's expected time commitment is 8-10 hours per week. Additional hours may be required to prepare and rehearse music for church calendar activities and major feasts such as Holy Week, Easter, and Christmas. Fewer hours may be required during the summer hiatus. The anticipated salary is $10,000 per year, payable monthly. should send a cover letter and resumé via email to the Rev.
