Keyboard Player The Lighthouse Church Gulf Coast Daphne, AL Job Details Contract $250 - $350 a week 4 hours ago Qualifications Religious music performance experience Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description Position Summary The Lighthouse Church Gulf Coast (TLC) is seeking a skilled, dependable, and Spirit-led Keyboard Player to join our worship and music ministry team. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of gospel music, be able to flow with live worship environments, and demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and musical excellence during rehearsals and worship services.
This position plays a vital role in helping create a worship experience that is impactful, engaging, and spiritually uplifting for our congregation. Key Responsibilities Play keyboard for all scheduled worship services, special events, rehearsals, and ministry functions. Be prepared to play the entire worship service from beginning to end. Attend and actively participate in weekly rehearsals/practice sessions prior to Sunday services. Arrive early and attend all required sound checks before service starts. Work closely with the Pastor, Music Director, Worship Leader, and musicians to ensure musical excellence and smooth service flow. Demonstrate the ability to follow spontaneous transitions, worship flow, and direction during live services. Maintain a positive attitude, professionalism, and team-oriented spirit. Required Qualifications MUST be ON TIME for all rehearsals, sound checks, services, and events. Must be able to practice at least once per week prior to Sunday service. Must be able to attend sound check before every service. Must be dependable and committed to consistency and excellence. Strong keyboard proficiency with the ability to play by ear and/or with charts. Must be able to play and transition between all styles and genres of Gospel Music. Ability to follow vocalists, worship leaders, and musical direction in real time. Previous church musician experience preferred. Styles of Gospel Music Required Traditional Gospel Contemporary Gospel Praise & Worship Quartet Choir Music Urban/Contemporary Christian Hymns and Congregational Songs Preferred Characteristics Professional appearance and attitude Strong communication skills Teachable spirit and willingness to grow Ability to work well under pressure in live worship settings Passion for ministry and worship Schedule Expectations Weekly rehearsal/practice Sunday Worship Services Additional church events and special services as scheduled Compensation Salary is negotiable based on experience, skill level, availability, and overall fit for the ministry. This role requires commitment, preparation, punctuality, and excellence. Musicians are expected to arrive prepared, maintain professionalism, and contribute positively to the worship atmosphere and ministry culture of The Lighthouse Church Gulf Coast.
