Job Description

Position Title:
Praise Team Vocalist Compensation:
$10,000 annually Position Summary The Praise Team Vocalist serves as a member of the worship ministry, providing vocal leadership during the church's contemporary worship service. The primary purpose of this position is not performance or entertainment, but the active engagement of the congregation in meaningful, Christ-centered worship. The successful candidate will demonstrate musical proficiency, spiritual maturity, reliability, and a heart for helping others participate fully in worship. Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as a vocalist for the contemporary worship service.
  • Lead and encourage congregational participation in worship through confident, authentic vocal leadership.
  • Support the worship leader and other praise team members in creating a welcoming and worshipful environment.
  • Learn and prepare assigned music prior to rehearsals and services.
  • Participate in scheduled rehearsals and arrive prepared to perform assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain a positive, cooperative attitude and work effectively as part of the worship ministry team.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
  • Represent the church and its mission in a manner consistent with its values and beliefs. Schedule and Time Commitment
Sunday Worship Service:
10:30 a.m.
    Sunday Call Time:
    9:30 a.m.
      Rehearsals:
      Thursdays at 6:00 p.m., every other week.
        Regular Service Commitment:
        Every Sunday throughout the calendar year.
          Additional Required Services:
          o Maundy Thursday service o Christmas Eve early service o Other special worship services as assigned (typically limited to a small number of annual events) Qualifications
          • Demonstrated vocal ability suitable for leading congregational singing.
          • Ability to sing in harmony and blend effectively with other vocalists.
          • Ability to learn music independently and arrive prepared for rehearsals.
          • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
          • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
          • Commitment to the mission and worship ministry of the church.
          • Previous worship team or ensemble experience preferred. Evaluation Criteria Success in this position will be measured primarily by:
          • Consistent participation and reliability.
          • Musical preparation and performance quality.
          • Ability to encourage and facilitate congregational engagement in worship.
          • Positive contribution to the spiritual and musical life of the worship ministry.
          Compensation This position is compensated at $10,000 per year , subject to applicable payroll policies and procedures.
