Full Job Description General Description:

Attends weekly rehearsals, attends Sunday morning rehearsals, and assists Worship & Music Director as needed. The accompanist will play at each service. And will have the opportunity to play at funerals and weddings as available.

• Play piano for weekly worship rehearsals.
• Play piano for Sunday morning worship rehearsals.
• Assist Worship and Music Director as needed.
• Play piano at each Sunday morning worship service, along with special services such as mid-Week Advent, Christmas Eve, and Holy Week Services.
• Ensure proper care of piano and alert staff to maintenance needs.
• Lead music for worship in the absence (PTO or approved leave) of Worship & Music Director.
• As schedule allows, provide accompaniment for funerals and weddings.
• Read and sign acknowledgement of policies and procedures as stated in the Alleluia!

Staff Handbook.

Communication:

• Directly communicates with the Worship and Music Director
• Communicates with the praise team as needed throughout the rehearsals
• Receive support from the Worship and Music Director through regularly scheduled meetings for feedback and planning.

These meetings may occur in-person, video or phone/text

Recruitment and Training:

• Communicates any interested new musicians to the

Qualifications:

• Exemplary piano skills
• Familiarity with both traditional music style and contemporary music style preferred
