Advisor•Percussion Ensemble Advisor (BHS)
Stipend Postion:
$1,000
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist student in scheduling and planning practice sessions and meetings. Works in a positive manner with the Band Director to determine performance standards required for percussion section members. Encourages excellence in the performance level of all band students through individual and small group practice sessions, application of sound music theory and technique, and positive instructional techniques. Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior, to provide an orderly productive environment for all band elated activities. Maintain necessary attendance records and paper work. Must attend marching percussion practice sessions. Assume responsibility for the facility or area in which assigned activity is conducted at all times students are present. Encourage percussion section to attend percussion clinics. Responsible for the selection of the percussion section. Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.

Dedication to the service of youth. Demonstrated ability to relate favorably with students.
