SCHEDULE
Approx. 4 hours a week (Thursday's 7:00•9:00, Sunday's 8:30•10:30) on a rotating schedule.
PAY RANGE
$25.00/hour•Based on experience, education and qualifications. Overview We are seeking a dynamic and talented Bass-Baritone /Section Leader to lead our vocal ensemble and enhance our worship experience through powerful, expressive singing. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine musical excellence with theatrical artistry, contributing to our vibrant community events and services. Responsibilities Lead the bass and baritone sections during rehearsals and live performances, ensuring vocal cohesion and musical integrity. Serve as section Sunday Mornings for 2 hours. Attend choir rehearsals Thursday evenings for 2 hours. Opportunity to perform solo (extra compensation) Must be available for special celebrations, including but limiting to Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter (extra compensation) Mentor and guide volunteer singers as needed Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Trained and experienced soloist able to confidently sing in classical and contemporary styles Excellent sight-reading skills Ability to mentor and guide volunteer singers Preferred (but not required) Has church experience BA in music, or studying music. Work Conditions Evening and weekend work is required to accommodate Woods' programs and events. Regular interaction with children, youth, adults, and volunteers in a professional and faith-based environment.
