Alto Section Leader Metropolitan United Methodist Church - 3.8 Detroit, MI Job Details Part-time $120 a week 7 hours ago Qualifications Choral worship music conducting Teamwork Religious music performance experience Leadership Choral group performance experience Full Job Description Job Summary Metropolitan UMC is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Alto Section Leader to inspire and lead our choir's alto section during Sunday worship services and rehearsals.
Sunday Service:
11:00 AM, 10:00 AM call time for warmup
Rehearsal:
12:30 PM, after worship service
Compensation:
$120 per week ($70 for the service, $50 for the rehearsal) Responsibilities Arrive on time and attend all rehearsals and worship services on Sundays and Holy Days Lead by example in singing, professionalism, and preparation Prepare and sing weekly anthems, hymns, solos, and duets Assist the Music Director in leading sectional rehearsals as needed Qualifications Excellent vocal technique, musicianship, and sight-reading skills Previous choir experience, preferably in a leadership capacity Strong Christian faith and familiarity with liturgical music Friendly, communicative, and collaborative demeanor
