Job Description
Job Summary Provide leadership for a blended worship experience that honors the church's traditional heritage while thoughtfully incorporating contemporary worship elements that engage multiple generations. Primary Responsibilities Coordinate the blended worship experience in collaboration with the pastor(s). Lead contemporary worship music during designated services. Work collaboratively with the organist, choir, musicians, and worship volunteers to ensure seamless transitions between traditional hymns, contemporary music, and prerecorded ("piped-in") music. Partner with the sound and media team to ensure consistent sound quality, balanced volume levels, and smooth transitions between all musical elements. Evaluate the church's sound system and recommend practical enhancements that improve audio quality and create a seamless worship experience. Coordinate rehearsals and maintain communication with musicians, vocalists, and media volunteers. Assist in implementing the Worship Committee's vision for a blended worship model while honoring the traditions and heritage of the congregation. Primary Measures of Success Seamless transitions between traditional, contemporary, and prerecorded music. Consistent, high-quality sound throughout the worship experience. Effective collaboration among musicians, media volunteers, the choir, and the organist. Practical recommendations and implementation of sound system enhancements that improve worship quality. A blended worship experience that welcomes new generations while honoring long-standing members.
