Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and talented Church Organist to bring inspiring musical leadership to our worship services and community events. In this vital role, you will serve as the musical cornerstone of our congregation, using your expertise on the organ to enhance spiritual experiences and foster a welcoming atmosphere. Your energetic and positive approach will help uplift our congregation through powerful, soulful music that resonates with all attendees. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in church music, a love for sacred traditions, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with clergy and choir members. Duties Perform on the church's organ and piano during weekly services, special ceremonies, and community events Collaborate with pastors, choir directors, and musicians to select appropriate music that aligns with worship themes Attend rehearsals for choir members and instrumentalists to ensure cohesive performances Adapt music arrangements to suit different service formats or special occasions such as weddings, funerals, or holiday celebrations Assist in developing a vibrant worship experience by integrating contemporary or traditional musical styles as needed Experience Proven experience as an organist in a church or similar religious setting Strong proficiency in playing the organ with excellent sight-reading skills Knowledge of sacred music repertoire across various denominations and styles Experience working collaboratively with clergy, choir members, and community groups Ability to adapt quickly to different service formats while maintaining high-quality musical standards Join us in creating uplifting spiritual moments through inspiring music!
