Job Description
Job Overview Chapel Music Services Provides music services for the Catholic Music Service at the Altus Air Force Base. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: playing piano, accompanist singing, and practicing music for Catholic worship in collaboration with the Lead Priest. Requirement s A minimum of three years' experience in the field with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have a minimum of three years' experience in selecting and directing Catholic Parish music that reflects knowledge and sensitivity towards a Catholic understanding of music selection and Catholic Mass requirements A bachelor's degree in music is preferred but not required. Five years' experience can be substituted for education. Must be able to provide piano, digital organ and keyboard accompanist capability, and have a minimum of two years of church accompanist work or equivalent combination of musician experience Rehearsals and Worship Services The contractor shall perform at services every week on Sunday, as well as participate in weekly rehearsals. All rehearsals and worship services will take place at Hill Air Force Base. The contractor shall be notified at least twenty-four hours in advance of a projected move.
