In this vital role, you will lead congregational singing, enhance the spiritual atmosphere, and collaborate oclosely with pastors and choir members to create an uplifting worship experience. Your musical expertise and energetic presence will help foster a welcoming environment where community and faith flourish. Duties Lead congregational singing during worship services, ensuring musical flow and engagement. Play the keyboard or piano with skill, accuracy, and expressive dynamics to support various parts of the service. Collaborate with pastors, choir directors, and other musicians to select appropriate music that aligns with the service theme. Rehearse regularly to prepare for upcoming services, maintaining a high standard of musical excellence. Assist in arranging music pieces or adapting existing compositions to suit the congregation's needs. Maintain and care for all keyboard instruments, ensuring they are tuned and in good working condition. Participate in church events, special services, and community outreach programs as needed. Requirements Proven experience playing keyboard or piano in a church or similar setting, demonstrating strong sight-reading skills. Knowledge of diverse musical styles, including contemporary worship music and traditional hymns. Ability to read sheet music fluently and adapt to different musical arrangements quickly. Familiarity with theater-style performance techniques to engage the congregation effectively. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with church staff and volunteers. Ability to commit to regular rehearsal schedules and Sunday services. A positive attitude, energetic approach, and passion for fostering spiritual growth through music.
