Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Music Transcriber with a deep background in choral music and arrangements. This position requires a combination of creativity, elite software proficiency, strong keyboard skills, and an excellent ear for vocal harmony. Key Responsibilities In person transcription of choral arrangements, multi part choral music, including from audio recordings and rough drafts. Create performer ready music sheets. Utilize a piano/keyboard to verify harmonies, check vocal ranges, and ensure playback accuracy. Collaborate closely in-person during the arrangement and editing process. Required Qualifications & Skills Expert-level proficiency in Sibelius. Working familiarity with Moises and Anthem. Strong piano or keyboard skills to quickly audit and play through parts. Deep understanding of choral voicing, vocal ranges (SATB), and harmonic structures. Exceptional relative or absolute pitch for accurate ear transcription. Must be able to work in-person in NYC. Some familiarity with Indian music is a great plus.
