Job Description
Job Summary The Organist supports the worship life of the church by providing organ music for services and accompanying choirs, ensembles, and soloists. The Organist is an integral part of the music ministry team. Key Responsibilities Provide music for all regular and special worship services (prelude, offertory, postlude) Accompany all choirs, ensembles, and soloists in rehearsals and performances Play for weddings and funerals (as availability allows) Maintain a regular schedule of personal practice and preparation Other duties as assigned Qualifications Proficiency in organ and piano performance Experience accompanying choirs and vocalists Familiarity with sacred and liturgical music traditions (or a willingness to learn) Reliability and sensitivity to the role of music in worship
