Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated volunteer Bass Player to join our vibrant church music team as a volunteer. In this role, you will bring your musical talent and energy to enhance our worship experience, creating an inspiring atmosphere for our congregation. Your commitment will help foster a welcoming environment where community and spirituality flourish through powerful music. This position offers an opportunity to serve with your musical gifts while growing personally and spiritually within a supportive team. Duties Play bass guitar during church services, rehearsals, and special events, ensuring a steady and uplifting rhythm that complements the worship band Collaborate closely with the worship leader and other musicians to develop cohesive and dynamic musical arrangements Maintain your instrument, ensuring it is tuned, clean, and in good working condition for each service Participate in regular rehearsals to refine your performance skills and stay aligned with the team's musical direction Assist in setting up sound equipment and stage arrangements as needed for services and events Support the overall flow of worship by adapting to different musical styles and cues during live performances Contribute to a positive, energetic atmosphere that encourages congregation engagement and spiritual connection Qualifications Proven experience playing bass guitar, ideally within a church or live performance setting Strong sense of rhythm, timing, and musicality to support congregational singing and band dynamics Ability to read sheet music or chord charts; familiarity with music software is a plus Experience with theater or stage performance is desirable for understanding stage presence and live show dynamics Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Reliable commitment to attending rehearsals and services regularly Passion for serving others through music and contributing positively to worship experiences Join us in making a meaningful impact through music!
