School of Music General Requirements:
Associates degree in Music Performance; Collaborative, or related field. Master's or Doctor of Musical Arts would be helpful. Three years of experience in a related field. Proven instrumental and vocal accompanist and a strong performer who thrives in a collaborative environment. Experience as a vocal coach is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Provides piano accompaniment for selected classes and events such as recitals, concerts, master classes, school auditions, or other accompanying duties. Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only): Provides piano accompaniment for events such as faculty and student recitals, concerts, master classes, and school auditions or other accompanying duties as assigned. A broad understanding of and experience with standard instrumental and vocal solo repertoire, and should show a wide variety of experience with recitals and chamber music collaboration. Performs other related duties as assigned.
