Job Description

Position Overview Good Hopewell Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a reliable and talented pianist to lead musical worship for our church services and special events, collaborating with our Pastor and church members.

Key Responsibilities Sunday Worship:

Accompany three Sunday morning worship services per calendar month.

Choir Rehearsals:

Lead or accompany three choir rehearsals per month.

Special Services:

Provide music for key holy days, such as Christmas and Easter.

Additional Events:

Play for occasional church-related musical events as scheduled in advance Qualification & Expectations Demonstrated proficiency in piano performance Experience accompanying choirs and congregational singing Ability to read music and adapt to choir and Baptist liturgical needs A collaborative spirit to work seamlessly with the Pastor and church members Punctual, dependable, and dedicated to delivering professional musical leadership.

Hours and Compensation Weekly Service Rate:

$250 per service

Special Events Rate:

$25 per event (e.g. outing with Pastor)

Pay:

$250.00 per week
