Job Description
St. Andrew Lutheran Church (LCMS) has a position available for a skilled organist/pianist with an understanding of liturgical music. The ideal candidate must be proficient on both organ and piano. The musician would play the church organ, a 2 manual Johannus Opus 1210. It has a full 30 tone concave pedalboard. Or the piano a 6'1" Pramberger. We follow the Lutheran Service Book and use Divine Service settings 1, 3, and 4. This position would require the musician to play at the Sunday 9:00 a.m. service for a minimum of two Sundays per month with flexibility with scheduling. In addition, there are also special services including Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Lent, Christmas etc. . These services also have flexibility. The position offers the option to accompany the choir at scheduled practices but is not mandatory. Compensation for choir would be in addition to organist position.
