STAGE ELECTRICS SUPERVISOR
Boston College Theatre Department is seeking a part-time
STAGE ELECTRICS SUPERVISOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide training, supervision, and mentorship for student employees and those enrolled in the Electrics Prep Lab. Will oversee, in coordination with the Production Manager, the preparation, hang, cable, focus, strike, and rigging of lighting and effects elements for Theatre Departments productions. Provide instruction in technical/stage electrics skills and safety practices. Manage the procurement and maintenance of all lighting supplies and equipment and should be able to instruct students in a variety of skills in advanced stage lighting in coordination with the Production Manager. Any other tasks as given by the Production Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
College degree or equivalent and three to five years of related experience. OSHA certification, student shop supervision experience preferred.
COMPENSATION
$35 per hour based on experience.
W-2 SCHEDULE
Flexible Schedule based on the needs of the theatre. 19 to 28 hrs. per week for 9 months. You would need to be available for hang/cues and strike for our 5 shows.
