Job Description

The Perioperative Support Assistant will be a vital member of the clinical team. In this role, you will assist with patient care and help transport patients. You will also assist with transport/assist in discharging patients and assist providers and other personnel as needed. WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
    Clinical Support:
    Support providers and other clinical personnel during the transition of patients through the surgical process procedures and daily operations.
      Environmental Maintenance:
      Maintain a clean, tidy, and properly stocked work area, including assisting with operating room (OR) turnover and cleaning/restocking supplies.
        Quality & Safety:
        Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care and safety

        • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, providers, and other staff.
        • Knowledge of sterile and aseptic techniques.
        • Ability to prioritize tasks and assist providers and other clinical personnel in coordinating patient care efficiently. Professional and positive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

        • A collaborative mindset with a focus on help delivering exceptional patient care
        • An understanding of an a desire to participate in quality improvement processes
        WHAT YOU KNOW
        To be successful in this role you will have the following experience or knowledge:
        • High school diploma or equivalent required
