To provide a transportation system that is safe, accessible, well maintained, and positioned for the future. Job Duties The selected candidate will be placed in the classification in which they meet minimum qualifications.What You Will Do:
- You will serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer.
- You will attend training to obtain CDL licensure; if not already a licensed CDL holder.
- You will perform highway maintenance activities; including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, mowing.
- You will perform snow & ice operations.

Qualifications Qualifications:
Highway Maintenance Worker 1: Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary. Must obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction Highway Technician 1: Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment.
