is a Malibu-based design and construction company specializing in high-end manufactured HUD homes across Southern California. We provide turnkey housing solutions for residential and private-property installations, guiding projects through permitting, approvals, production, delivery, foundation, utilities, and construction. We are a fast-moving team focused on clear communication, accountability, and keeping projects moving through complex city, county, fire, utility, and agency approval processes. Position Overview We are seeking a Permitting Runner / Expeditor to help move manufactured home projects through permitting and agency approvals as quickly and efficiently as possible. This is a hands-on, field-based role . The right candidate will be comfortable driving to city/county offices, visiting planning and building counters, submitting documents, following up with reviewers, tracking corrections, and pushing permits forward daily. This role works closely with the permitting team, company leadership, consultants, engineers, and internal project teams to reduce delays and keep projects moving. Key Responsibilities Submit, track, and follow up on permit applications for manufactured home projects. Coordinate directly with city/county planning, building, fire, public works, utility departments, and other agencies. Visit jurisdictions in person to check permit status, resolve issues, submit documents, and follow up on corrections. Track plan check comments, corrections, approvals, resubmittals, and final sign-offs. Communicate with plan reviewers, building officials, fire departments, inspectors, consultants, and internal teams. Help coordinate required documents from civil engineers, structural engineers, surveyors, soils/geology consultants, and other third parties. Maintain organized permit records and provide regular updates to leadership on status, delays, risks, and next steps. Identify bottlenecks early and escalate issues when permits are not moving. Primary Objective Move permits forward every day. We are looking for someone proactive, organized, and persistent who can take ownership of permit follow-up, stay in motion, and help secure approvals as quickly as possible for our clients. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in permitting, permit running, expediting, construction coordination, entitlement, land use coordination, or related work. Experience working with city/county agencies, building departments, planning departments, fire departments, utilities, inspectors, or plan reviewers. Comfortable with in-person counter visits and direct jurisdiction follow-up. Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple active permit files at the same time. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Experience Residential construction permitting. Manufactured homes, modular homes, HUD, HCD, 433A, ADUs, foundations, grading, utilities, or fire-related approvals. Experience with jurisdictions in LA County, Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, Malibu, Los Angeles, Altadena, Palisades, or surrounding areas. Experience using permit portals, spreadsheets, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar tracking/document tools. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: From $75,000 per year Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Company-provided gas card for work-related travel Location & Schedule In-person role based in Agoura Hills , with regular travel to jurisdictions and project-related locations.Schedule:
