Personal Assistant (Catharine Farm - Hays)

Are you looking to make a difference in your community? If so, DSNWK is looking for you! Seeking staff to work at an all-male residential home that serves individuals with developmental disabilities. DSNWK operates two farmsteads northeast of Hays, KS, offering residents the chance to enjoy rural living. Suitable applicants should be oriented to the demographics of the home's requirements and be able to teach skills and provide support to individuals both at home and in the community. Full-time, Part-time, and PRN positions available in our expanding services! Newly hired staff eligible for up to a $1000 Sign On Bonus! Teach and assist with living skills (grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking) for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in their homes and the community. Provide support to individuals served. Duties will differ between time of day and needs of the person. Advocate for people with disabilities and their everyday choices. Experience credit applied towards starting wage for similar work, or work with individuals with developmental disabilities. All shifts available (day, evening, overnight, and weekends). Shifts available in a family friendly atmosphere.

Job Specifications:

Education - High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience - Prior personal or job related exposure to people with developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required. • All training will be paid for and provided by DSNWK.
