Personal Care Aide

Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure residents' health status is maintained Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition for residents' well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks in resident rooms and common areas Assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or assistive devices while ensuring safety standards are met Skills Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care best practices Ability to perform first aid and respond effectively to emergency situations Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personal support Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Experience in medication administration and vital signs monitoring is highly desirable Comfortable operating EMR systems for accurate documentation of care provided This role is ideal for caring individuals eager to bring empathy and professionalism into their daily work.
