Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide high-quality support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, community, and assisted living environments. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily activities, monitor health status, and promote independence while ensuring safety and comfort. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Candidates should possess a strong sense of empathy, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining client dignity and well-being. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to ensure health stability Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer techniques Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and infection control practices Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards Recognize signs of medical emergencies or changes in condition and respond appropriately Support clients with specialized needs including Alzheimer's/dementia care, autism support, or hospice care Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and community involvement Qualifications Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care preferred Certifications such as First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications like Medication Administration or HIPAA training are advantageous Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety assessment Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanor Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team Valid driver's license preferred for travel between client locations Must demonstrate reliability, patience, and respect for client confidentiality at all times This role is vital in supporting the health, safety, and independence of individuals requiring personal assistance. Pay:
$17.35 - $18.00 per hour
