Job Description
Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether working in a home setting, assisted living facility, or group home, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring residents receive attentive and respectful care. This paid position offers an opportunity to grow your skills while delivering impactful support to those in need. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and behavioral changes to ensure safety and proper care Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning patient areas and laundry Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Observe and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to nursing staff or supervisors promptly Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are required or can be obtained upon hire Experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely while maintaining compassion and professionalism Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with residents respectfully A genuine passion for caregiving combined with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude Join us in providing exceptional care that enriches lives!
