Personal Care Attendant

Overview The Personal Care Attendant provides non-medical, in-home support to clients by assisting with daily living activities, companionship, and household tasks. This role focuses on promoting independence, safety, and overall well-being while respecting the client's dignity, cultural values, and personal preference. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL's), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene Provide mobility support, including transfers, ambulation, and repositioning Assist with feeding and ensure proper hydration Provide companionship, and engage clients in conversation and activities Support mental and emotional well-being by encouraging social interaction Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and organizing Prepare meals in accordance with dietary needs and preferences Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment Observe and report changes in client's physical or mental condition to immediate supervisor Follow care plans and safety guidelines, including fall prevention measures Assist with medication reminders (no administering)

Qualifications:
