NON-MEDICAL SERVICES

Personal Care Attendants are hired (no certification required) to provide LOCAL services to LOCAL residents. Provide services close to your home. Must be 18 years of age & maintain reliable transportation with vehicle insurance as required by law. Homemaker services offer direct and practical assistance consisting of household tasks and related activities. Homemaker services assist the individual to remain in a clean, safe, healthy home environment. Homemaker services are provided when the recipient is unable to meet these needs or when an informal caregiver is unable to meet these needs for the recipient. Homemaker Activities include but are not limited to: Dusting and straightening furniture; Cleaning floors and rugs by wet/dry mop, broom and vacuum sweeping; Cleaning the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots and pans; cleaning the outside of appliances, counters, and cupboards; cleaning ovens, and defrosting and cleaning the refrigerator; Maintaining a clean bathroom, including cleaning the tub, shower, sink, toilet bowl and medicine cabinet; emptying and cleaning commode chair/urinal; Laundering clothes in the home or Laundromat including washing, drying, folding, putting away, ironing, Changing linens and making beds, Washing inside of windows, Removing trash from home, Choosing appropriate procedures, equipment, and supplies; keeping equipment clean and in it's proper place, Shopping, including planning the shopping and putting the food away, Making meals, Grocery shopping, Household supply shopping and Prescription pick-up. Attendant care services primarily involve hands on assistance with physical dependency needs however, other needs may be met under attendant care that assures safety in, and connection with, the community. Personal Care Bathing, Partial bathing, Oral hygiene, Hair care, Shaving Hand and foot care, Mobility, Transfer between bed and chair and Ambulation, Incontinent or involuntary care, Nutrition Meal planning, Meal preparation, Meal clean up and eliminate safety hazards. Practice health protection and cleanliness by appropriate techniques of hand washing, Waste disposal and household task, Reminding client to self-administer medication, Assistance with correspondence and bill paying.
