SUMMARY :

To assist in the preparation and service of quality food to students in an efficient and pleasant manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

. Other duties may be assigned. Prepares and serves food as directed by the Head Cook. Follows rules and regulations of the Health Department and corporation, using good sanitation practices. Reports maintenance problems to the Head Cook as soon as possible. Checks food items opened and used each day, reporting such usage to the Head Cook. Uses proper proportion control methods when serving. Receives and properly stores food, dating commodities using food in a "first in, first-out" method. Serves food as promptly and efficiently as possible. Trains substitute cooks under the direction of the Head Cook. Operates kitchen equipment using proper safety procedures. Effectively and efficiently performs all assigned areas of responsibility. Maintains appropriate appearance. Ensures own regular and prompt attendance. Effectively completes regular and other job performance criteria as assigned. Promote good public relations for the school district and community. Remains free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation. EDUCATION and/or
