IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR FULL AND PART TIME DENTAL ASSISTANTS
Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will support one dentist during procedures, ensure the smooth operation of the clinic, and create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us deliver top-quality dental services while fostering a positive and efficient workplace. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in boutique office with a patient-centered setting. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with aseptic technique and infection control standards. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort. Explain procedures to patients and present treatment plans. Support administrative tasks as needed
  • such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and managing medical documentation and records in Open Dental.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well stocked clinical environment by adhering to infection control, sterilization, and office protocol. Maintain dental supplies inventory. Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and facilitating repairs as needed. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties and maintaining tidiness of the office as necessary Provide 'above and beyond' care to ensure seamless patient experiences. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology and oral anatomy. Experience with dental assisting techniques and chairside support during complex procedures. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization standards essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment. Experience with dental software. Open Dental is a plus. Ability to work independently and be self-directed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure the patient feels comfortable during their appointment as well as well informed about treatment. A positive outlook on continuous learning and a willingness to adapt to new responsibilities. Ability to be reliable and punctual in arriving to work and in performance of job duties. CPR certification and X-Ray certification are required (we can help with this!) Fluency in English is required, though bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
Physical Demands:
Ability to be physically mobile (stand, walk, reach, climb, bend, squat, push, pull) and also the ability to stand for prolonged periods throughout the day, when needed. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate medical equipment, keyboard, copier, telephone, and the ability to write/type. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be able to maneuver and operate in confined spaces.
